New Life

I am honored to be a painter. It is a gift to see the world around me as a canvas that's ever changing. To paint another artist is an event that creates a special kind of energy... beyond words. It is just simply understood and taken in with the utmost gratitude.

I had the amazing opportunity to paint my friend and fellow body painter Diamond Ashman of 'Melanin Muse Art' in the last week of her pregnancy. As a mother of 3 myself, it was refreshing to be around the excitement in her little one's highly anticipated arrival. She loved the work and the Photographer Drew Spencer did an astounding job of capturing this memory of "New Life".
